Principal investigator position in Computational Neuroscience

Job Description

We welcome applicants with an outstanding track-record in Computational Neuroscience. Appropriate research areas include computational and modelling approaches for understanding the function of the nervous system. The applicants should propose a clear scientific program and have a strong desire to collaborate with existing experimental- and technology-oriented neuroscience researchers at IIT.

The Position

The position can be either tenured or tenure-track, depending on seniority and expertise. If tenure-track, the position is for an initial period of 5 years with renewal depending on evaluation. We provide generous support for salary, start-up budget, and annual running costs. The selected principal investigator will work in an interdisciplinary environment, which houses a cluster of neuroscience faculty and allows for close interactions with experimental neuroscience laboratories in the field of systems and circuit neuroscience in animals and humans.

    • a summary of past accomplishments (2 pages maximum)
    • a description of plans for future work (2 pages maximum)
  • Reference to five publications representing your research, accompanied by a brief description of their significance.
